Grilled Summer Peaches paired with 2020 Unshackled Sauvignon Blanc
Peaches are in season and they taste wonderful grilled! Grilling peaches enhances the sweetness & gives it a little hint of barbecue smoke. Pair the dish with the Unshackled Sauvignon Blanc for a refreshing treat
How to make Grilled Peaches:
Preheat heat barbecue or you can even use grill pan and make sure it’s hot before adding on peaches or they can stick to grill.
Cook: Lightly brush oil olive on cut sides of peaches which also keeps them from sticking to grill. The peaches should be in a juicy state & not mushy.
Eat: Once the peaches are grilled to your preference (light or darker grill marks) then they are ready to eat a variety of ways.
Peachy Dish Suggestions:
Eat with cottage cheese or ricotta cheese with lightly drizzles honey
Sliced in your favorite summer salad
Enjoy on top of your favorite white fish
Make into your favorite salsa (mild or hot)
Ingredients:
4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
Extra-virgin Olive Oil, for brushing
½ cup walnuts, toasted and crushed
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon sea salt
Italian Vanilla Gelato
Instructions:
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium heat.
Brush the cut side of the peaches with a little olive oil and grill cut-side down for 3 minutes, until char marks form.
In a small bowl, combine the walnuts, cinnamon, and salt.
Remove the peaches from the grill and serve with vanilla ice cream and sprinkle with the walnut mixture.
